White Parties

Iconic moments to remember

The Belvedere White Parties revolutionized Mykonos nightlife, becoming legendary fixtures on the island’s social calendar. Inaugurated in August 1999 to celebrate owner Tasos Ioannidis’s birthday, these glamorous events introduced a dress code of all-white, transforming the Belvedere into a sea of elegance. Flowing fabrics adorned the ceilings, while water fountains sprayed guests, heightening the electrified atmosphere. Being the first Mykonian parties to feature guest DJs, they set a new standard for revelry. Every last Saturday of August, partygoers danced under the stars, their hair dyed and spirits soaring, cementing the Belvedere White Parties as iconic celebrations of summer.

Over the next few years, famed bartenders, including Dale DeGroff - inventor of the Cosmopolitan Martini - were hired to design cocktails, and international DJs were invited to play a set at the most glamorous night of the year.
